A prescribed partial contraction does not, by itself, identify the full kernel, even when compact support, finite-order continuity, and absence of wavefront singularities are already available.

Proof. If a kernel has the prescribed contraction, adding the nonzero from Proposition prop:partial-contraction preserves that contraction and those regularity properties.
