The regularized mathematical family can exist when its identification with a proposed physical construction remains unproved. This distinction is part of the package, not an analytic defect.

A physical identification record must identify the source, propagators, observations, root operator, density derivative, tensor duality, and correction rules. A required relation such as

cannot be replaced by an independently convenient while retaining the same physical claim.
