Programme B: one relational measurement
Release and the remaining programmes › Programme B: one relational measurement · lines 1658–1672
A relational successor may replace or implement the asymptotic packet by one declared smearing or detector. It must specify the rods or coordinates, prove descent on the chosen classical and quantum domains, and identify the represented observable and its coupling. Compact smearing does not automatically prove compact support after a nonlocal coordinate response.
The earlier relational sheets may inform the methodology. They are not formal premises unless their domains, transformations, and observables are explicitly matched. A free scalar on a fixed metric does not inherit a graviton gauge-fixing obligation merely because a later theory will include metric fluctuations.
