Only after the base observable has been identified can a correction to that observable be stated unambiguously. A correction sheet must declare:

  1. the effective action, background, field content, and order;

  2. a verified vertex and dependency inventory;

  3. the gauge-fixing and state prescription where relevant;

  4. the admissible bulk and composite counterterms;

  5. the evaluated insertion, its regulator removal, and the applicable Ward identities;

  6. a common observable and error topology for comparing the corrected and free results.

These are requirements for a new proof. The present scalar calculation does not close XVI-O O.1, discharge the XVI-N prepared-insertion obstruction, or admit the separate XIV–XV characteristic coefficient.
