An -compatible retiming can assign duration to an ordinary edge. Therefore it does not preserve a numerical bound of slope when one retains the old spatial metric and uses the new tick coordinate. The causal relation must be transformed with the coordinates. Negative or zero coordinate duration is not, by itself, a realizable feedback device.
