This is the complete-channel error accounting in Cheung En02-B thm:B6 CheungEn02B. For a fixed physical journey requiring $O({\epsilon }^{-1})$ ticks, per-tick error $o(\epsilon )$ is one sufficient condition for a vanishing total allowance. It is not necessary in every error model.

Ideal classical relays already have gap $1$ at every discrete scale. The open task is to realize the required directional endpoint families and compatible operational limits, or to control errors uniformly in an implementation. Discrete relay attainment alone does not establish those combined requirements.
