Reversibility is not a property of a classical interface
Debugging the proposed framing › Reversibility is not a property of a classical interface · lines 1976–1985
A coherent unitary inverse acts on quantum registers. It is misleading to say that arbitrary quantum uncomputation is “reversible at the classical interface.” A classical record generally omits the phase information needed for that inverse. A complete coherent dilation can preserve the input while its classical marginal does not.
