A consumed quantum name is absent from the continuation's quantum context. This does not assert annihilation of the laboratory device, of its environment, or of every physical degree of freedom that implemented the channel.

A reversible dilation may retain information in inaccessible degrees of freedom. Such degrees of freedom are not thereby returned through the declared clock-reading interface.
