For an ordinary classical message strip, photographs can successively reduce uncertainty about the message: can fall. The full photograph album's entropy need not fall.

For an unknown quantum strip, photographing each fragment means choosing a destructive instrument. The album retains outcomes, not the discarded quantum coherence. The universal record-only recovery error is at least , even after the last photograph. A quantum version of the successful transfer picture must retain coherent fragments or another explicitly declared quantum carrier. It cannot use photographs as if they were quantum paper.

The friend may retain fixed degrees of freedom or energy after losing all logical dependence. “Information-free” is not “nonexistent”.
