A finite experiment specifies:

  1. ;

  2. finite live quantum names, their finite qubit tensor factors, and port locations in ;

  3. accessible matrix algebras, with identity action on inaccessible factors;

  4. a finite instruction tree including allocations, unitaries, destructive readouts, classical controls, causal record wires, retained outputs, auxiliary systems, schedules, and storage reservations.

No controller reads an undeclared state description or an inaccessible spectator. This is the four-structure discipline used in I-B and En03-A CheungIB,CheungEn03.

An untouched reference is permitted. It has no control wire into the experiment, and its storage is accounted for separately.
