Clause C-I8 is the factorization condition. A test-labelled assignment that fails this clause is not a binary map on ${\mathcal{P}}_{\Sigma }$.

Clause C-I9 does not follow from C-I8. Algebraic descent does not automatically imply continuity in the subspace topology inherited from ${\tau }_{\Sigma }$.
