IX-D@3#rem:boundary
The strict-exterior condition involving imposes no vanishing assertion when the supports meet its causal boundary. Coincidence contributions require a contact prescription, while noncoincident null-related points may carry propagator singularities and are not thereby diagonal contact terms. Replacing by would change the interface and is not justified here.
