IX-Free@1#prop:presentation
The maps of Theorem thm:degree2maps preserve every rewriting that leaves their arguments unchanged as actual off-shell functionals. This includes finite linear presentation relations, kernel permutations, tensor symmetries, polarization, and integration by parts with all boundary terms retained.
For a completed glued sector, the same conclusion holds provided its descent and overlap hypotheses are proved.
Proof. A map on actual arguments assigns the same value to equal arguments. In presentation language, their difference is annihilated by descent. Gluing ensures this remains true when a rewriting moves between named prescriptions.
