Bridge 2: an engineered entanglement-cost membrane

The membrane literature derives directed spacetime optimizations and, at finite local dimension, free-energy descriptions ZhouNahum2018,ZhouNahum2020. Those results do not supply the independent undirected exponential weights required here. We instead give a named engineered model and delimit its interpretation.
