If the accessible output has a leakage or erasure sector, the primary qubit protocol certifies a specified CPTP completion

For example, retain the logical qubit on success and prepare on an erasure flag. The completion belongs to the implemented decoder and is included on every attempt.

The completed qubit channel and a larger flag-retaining channel are different tasks. Their ideal outputs and errors cannot be silently identified.
