For $n_{x} = n_{y} = n_{z} = 40$ , any $K \geq 1$ , and $0 < α_{s} < 1$ , the generic Hoeffding procedure cannot accept $ε = 0.1$ , even with best-case scores and zero allowances.

Proof. Equation (eq:hoeffsamples) would require $40 \geq 180000 lo g (6 K / α_{s})$ , which is impossible because $lo g (6 K / α_{s}) > lo g 6 > 1$ .
