Remark: No unsupported sharp-time operator is used

A local quadratic Wick field need not admit a sharp-time operator smearing on the Fock domain. All charges in (eq:q) are smooth spacetime smearings. Equal-time calculations in the proof below calculate the weak commutator, whose contraction is linear; they do not assert existence of an unsmeared quadratic charge operator at a fixed time.
