Remark: Controlled phases are not disposable

Although $U$ and $-U$ define the same isolated unitary channel, the controlled families $(I,I)$ and $(I,-I)$ define different controlled channels: the latter applies $Z$ to the control. A programmable-slot audit must retain relative phases between control labels.
