The selecting package is not forced by the chain scheduler. Replacing every $r_e$ by one fixed pure Bloch vector leaves the same directed strengths and the same chain scheduler, but its generated comparable-displacement cone is a ray and does not span four dimensions.

Proof. Lemma lem:pilot-process makes the strengths independent of $r$. With constant $r$, all positive comparable differences are positive multiples of one vector.
