Example: A scheduled path that cancels

Apply SWAP on registers $A,B$, then apply the same SWAP again. The composite channel is the identity. The backwards scheduled ancestor set for endpoint $B$ contains both registers, but the final $B$ state is its initial state and is unaffected by an initial intervention on $A$.
