The histories here must be carrier-accessible histories. Simply revealing two externally recorded damage flags is not, without further argument, a carrier-only witness. The next section constructs such a witness using only carrier observations and a common reset.

Permanent structural memory alone also need not make every reduced experiment non-Markovian. For example, a known fixed scar sector with no other persistent memory can have ordinary Markov carrier evolution.
