Permanent scars prove a monotone constraint on a finite coordinate universe. They do not prove that every deletion is harmful, that current accuracy must decline, or that a clinical event causes an irreversible biological lesion.

The longitudinal inference becomes valid only after specifying the controller, the challenge law, the data roles, the repair restriction, and the counterfactual comparison. The source's reused test sample is part of its controller. Its duration arms are not one survival trajectory, and its post-maintenance gain reset removes protection-dependent gain capping before final evaluation.

The quantum extension makes structural memory explicit. Its complete enlarged update is physical. The reduced carrier can retain history dependence even after its current state has been reset. The two-probe calculation establishes that statement using carrier-only records. The retained memory can nevertheless be entirely classical.
