The assessed checkpoint and its initial state are independent of the fresh assessment rule process. During an assessment sequence, the predictor receives no rule cue, target, correctness feedback, reward, or label-dependent parameter update. Its internal randomness is independent of the rule process.

Predictions may depend on all points , the switch schedule if revealed, the fixed checkpoint, and independent randomness. Allowing the entire point sequence is more permissive than the causal recurrent implementation.
