Definition: Three reporting statuses

1. Executed match within tolerance: an actually run candidate has $\text{abs}{d}_{mc}-d_{\ast }\le \tau$, and its complete identity is retained.

2. Bracketed surrogate estimate: two executed points bracket the target, but the reported target outcome is an estimate under a separately declared response model.

3. Unsupported target: there is neither an eligible executed match nor a justified surrogate bracket for the claimed target response.

An interpolated parameter is not an executed checkpoint.
