A gauge equivalence is an explicitly supplied equivalence relation on descriptions. An admissible geometric observable is constant on the specified classes. Chart changes and retriangulations may be declared gauge when they represent the same metric and marked slice.

Equality of an ambient spacetime does not imply equality of every observable of different marked slices. Likewise, equality of total channels under a prescribed circuit retiming is not automatically a gauge symmetry of coupled geometric evolution.
