A conservative preallocated reserve is
qubits for a -qubit clock, -qubit payload at each station, -bit report reserves, lookup workspace, and one optional probe. Classical table storage, including its finitely many reports, is separately charged. External references are declared rather than counted as laboratory memory.
The route uses register SWAPs and classical report transmissions. Clock basis change, destructive readout, lookup, and their durations are also charged. The clock names are absent after readout. All returned or discarded blank factors and retained report copies are included in the complete output declaration.
If compatible complete implemented channels have encoder, decoder, table, and per-stage allowances, then
To prove this, subtract the two compositions, replace one factor at a time, and use diamond-norm contraction under channels and the triangle inequality Watrous. An arrival or failure probability is controlled only if that record is part of the compared complete output.
No statistical estimate, external oracle duration, inaccessible storage, or decoder cost is silently absorbed into a logical-only error allowance.
