The correction to Stage E

Nonconstant onset backgrounds do not all carry the same evaluated defect. The theorem gives a specified witness excluding an all-background upgrade. It does not say that every nonconstant background has nonzero $W$.

The instrument in Stage E will therefore report reciprocity incompatibility, not a quantum anomaly or an identified master residual.
