Background and philosophy of Enter
Purpose, provenance, and the Enter discipline › Background and philosophy of Enter · lines 216–249
The Enter interface consumes the measured quantum names and returns a classical record together with the unmeasured surviving systems. Consumption is a statement about access and output type. It is not physical annihilation of every implementing degree of freedom.
Cheung's philosophy separates destructive readout, quantum return, implementation, and geometric identification EnterPhil,EnterI. We adopt that separation:
a classical BV residual is not automatically a physical observable;
a finite encoding is not acquisition of a continuum functional;
equality of outcome laws does not establish equality of complete instruments;
reference-preserving transport is not entanglement generated by a gravitational mediator;
a prescribed conical spacetime is not derived from records.
The finite instruments below use stated Born semantics. They do not rederive the operational characterization of Enter from an abbreviated hypothesis list.
I-B supplies the prescribed-background interpretation: geometry, locations, accessible algebras, and complete control/resource data are separately declared IB. The spacetime remains a continuum; the experiments are finite. No host-update rule is introduced.
