A homogeneous ghost-number-one residual cannot cancel a homogeneous ghost-number-zero reciprocity defect. Their sum vanishes in a graded direct sum only if both components vanish. Neither residual is a loop anomaly merely because it is an obstruction.

Proof. Distinct homogeneous summands of a graded direct sum are linearly independent. Both displayed residuals are classical constructions with no loop expansion. A quantum anomaly statement would require its own defined quantum product and master-Ward framework FRquantum.
