The second matter coefficient is fixed, not guessed:

V_{2, g} = \frac{1}{2} \int g (a_{2}^{μν} p_{μ} p_{ν} - m^{2} b_{2} ϕ^{2}) d^{4} x .

One switch multiplies this coefficient; replacing it by $g^{2}$ would change X-A's prescription.
