The independent auxiliary smearing

No ${\Delta }_{\gamma \gamma }$ contraction was used. The positive sign of the final Hessian pairing results from integration by parts and the action of $D^{\ast }$ on $-\partial \chi$; it is not obtained by changing the sign of the causal metric block.
