The proposed excess is no longer an unexplained rank count. The regular part of the incidence, its quadratic final constraint, its actual tangent defect, and its frequency redundancy have been distinguished.
The smoothness of the matching set and the constant rank of its projection are not enough for clean composition. The tangent-space equality fails, and the stated image does not provide the required Lagrangian geometry.
This diagnoses one direct construction without reopening the copied elementary phase failure. It does not solve the characteristic distribution problem.
