The selected no-common-phase route is not universally impossible. What fails is the automatic passage from individual symbols and inherited wavefront bounds to the ordinary final pullback.

A representation using cancellations of the full sum, or a separately proved generalized operator composition, could in principle advance this route. Neither is supplied here. No class of all such constructions has been proved incompatible.
