The inherited characteristic map remains a separate gate › Reconstruction descent is necessary but not admission · lines 1559–1567
A highest polynomial degree of a chosen amplitude presentation is therefore not automatically an intrinsic symbol of the reconstructed kernel. This does not invalidate estimates on a named presentation module. It prevents promoting a splitting to a reconstruction-independent joint symbol without proving descent and the relevant calculus.
