The separated chronological patch

XIV-H's “separated chronological patch” (“retained separated-endpoint patch” in HH2) is the support restriction on which XIV-H proves its regular conormal amplitudes for $K_8$, $K_9$. It is a restriction of the internal kernels' domain, used by XIV-H; it is not a definition of $U_{\mathrm{can}}$ and is not used as one here. With Corollary cor:K8supp the conormal statement is consistent with the displays at the level of supports (G1).
