A gravitational EFT organizes ultraviolet-sensitive corrections in terms of higher-curvature local operators (curvature-squared densities, and higher), while infrared-sensitive quantum corrections typically produce long-distance nonanalytic contributions that cannot be absorbed into a local metric Lagrangian of finite derivative order. The unrooted collision distributions of (eq:L-deltaQ) are collision-local: they are finite sums of smooth coefficients times . Their root-propagated images of (eq:L-deltaCL) are given by the root pairing; locality or nonlocality of those functionals is not established here. The unrooted contact sector is the appropriate context in which to interpret the unrooted changes as candidates for local counterterm freedom.

It is not evidence that the specified two-edge graph determines gravitational Wilson coefficients. A Wilson coefficient in a gravitational EFT is a coefficient in a diffeomorphism-covariant local effective action (or in a complete set of composite insertions) after all graphs, gauge-fixing data, and symmetry constraints of a chosen truncation have been assembled. XVI-L constructs one complete-source contribution for one two-edge graph, with its coherent contact freedom and scale variation; it does not assemble that larger package, and no numerical or structural output of L.1–L.7 is promoted to a Wilson coefficient here.
