Normal order and independent parameters

The positive-dimensional qualification matters: at a single point, jets through a fixed finite order are finite-dimensional. For a general stratum, an expression

has finitely many normal labels but may have infinitely many tangential coefficients. Locality, covariance, dimension, field degree, and admissible normalization constraints must be checked before counting parameters.
