XXII-B@1#def:exclusion

Back to manuscript

A relevant countermodel is a specified model, together with a justified interpretation in the proposed operational class, that satisfies the claimed baseline premises and falsifies the claimed conclusion for the proposed extraction.

An exclusion certificate identifies an actual class restriction or ledger assumption that fails for that interpretation and proves the failure. If the interpretation itself is impossible, that impossibility requires a proof.
