The two probe effects define a binary law

The ideal binary target has . For binary laws,

This is an effect and probability comparison. It does not identify the conditional postmeasurement system state with the conditional output of an Em03-C instrument.

If a final laboratory readout has a separately justified binary complete-law error , retaining all declared failures in a common output alphabet, then classical contraction and the triangle inequality add that error. Such a readout error is not supplied by local field scattering alone.
