Nelson's criterion was applied to the particular Wick square in Lemma lem:Qsa. It was not applied simultaneously to the conformal generators. The free-scalar modular construction of Hislop and Longo HislopLongo and the conformal-net framework of Brunetti, Guido, and Longo BGL are relevant comparisons. They do not automatically integrate the compact currents constructed in this paper.
