Definition: Tolerance-supported matching

A target $d_{\ast }$ is admissible at tolerance $\tau \ge 0$ if

For each family choose a nearest eligible candidate, with a fixed tie rule. If any family has no eligible candidate, report the target as unmatched. Other budget restrictions are applied before this matching step.
