A finite model selecting ordered slices
A finite model selecting ordered slices · lines 1727–1744
A fresh pointer qubit implements each source isometry
It extends to a unitary on pointer plus matter by completing orthonormal bases. Readout consumes the pointer, returns the matter, and writes one classical history bit. Immediate and locally deferred feedback give identical full instruments by Theorem thm:deferred.
The classical successor is chosen only after its required record is available. The local deferral identity does not replace the intermediate geometric label by a coherent superposition of geometries.
