What is and is not BRST-normalized

An exact choice killing (eq:symmetric-defect), and positivity on the physical quotient, require additional smooth normalization and state arguments. Neither is silently declared solved.

This distinction does not invalidate the compact-test gauge-fixed contraction construction. It limits the interpretation of that construction.
