X-C-ST: Second-order scalar completion on the inherited X-A-ST/X-B-ST host Direct linear response maps, completed background covariance, and the propagated edge defect
Specifies version 1 of a local Grade S completion of Cheung's X-C second-order scalar maps on the supported host already fixed by X-A-ST and the first map already fixed by X-B-ST. The host is not reconstructed and no second cone is derived. ass:host retains that presentation. The regular product is not globally hyperbolic. The defect is a worldsheet, not a worldline. The free field and the Green operators live on the declared Minkowski completion, not on the regular product. The host signature stays (-,+,+,+). The analysis keeps (+,-,-,-) and does not silently swap Euler or Green signs. def:moller defines the formal scalar Moller map through order kappa squared. thm:maps constructs R_1(V_{2,g}; F_c) and one half R_2(V_{1,g}, V_{1,g}; F_c) on specified off-shell linear representatives. Their sum represents the one inherited coefficient of rho_{2,g}. The first map is inherited and is not counted again. A successor receives one first-order map and one second-order pair. A later scalar map must not count this completion twice. thm:yf is a linear Yang-Feldman recursion on smooth compact intermediate tests and is not a general interacting quantum field. prop:hbar says positive powers of hbar vanish in these tests. Tree-exactness is that cancellation, not an interacting theory. No Hadamard contraction kernel is used. thm:ward is the completed background identity through order kappa squared on the gauge algebra frozen before the calculation. The three-term variation retains a compact free-equation term, a dressed coordinate defect, and a dressed switch defect, including propagation of the first-order edge gap. prop:puregauge closes the complete pure-gauge two-jet and does not erase the bare second dressing. prop:edge retains the propagated edge formula. No general T_2 or T_3 hierarchy is constructed. No nonlinear retarded product is constructed. A quantum metric interaction is not constructed. Sequential Green operators on smooth compact tests are not a sharp diagonal product. The diagonal product boundary of X-B-ST remains unchanged. IX-D-ST's support bridge is a negative control: free coherence is not time ordering, and a support bridge is not a sharp time-ordered product. These scalar maps do not solve IX-E. The map is not the convolution of X-A-conv and does not repair the convolution obstruction. X-Enter's conditional readout is not this map. VII-B, VII-C, and VII-D are comparisons and are not this pair. The IX sharp products are not imported. The registered X-D sharp-width limit is not supplied. The registered X-D-ST sheet is a later sharp-width transfer and is not this fixed-width completion. The inherited characteristic quantum coefficient is not admitted. A free scalar response is not that coefficient. No quantum coefficient is admitted. Finite tables encode supplied evaluations, not acquired field values. thm:instrument is a finite destructive clock. Enter consumes a finite clock encoding, not the geometric time axis. thm:transport is exact reference-preserving transport and is not gravity-generated entanglement. thm:locality is scheduled ancestry, not a physical causal past. The quantum certificate remains RG-open. The source file names Ngo Cheung on the title page. The analytical source is credited to X-C. Citation of N. Cheung does not assign authorship of a new priority claim for the underlying quadratic-field method. Cited sheets and the OpenAI catalogue are documentary source records and are not a premise. This comparison is not an exhaustive audit. This is not a derivation of a cognitive construct, not holographic identification, not a Page curve, not spacetime emergence, and not Einstein dynamics. Grade E is not constructed. It does not discharge XVI-N. XVI-N is not discharged. It does not close O.1. O.1 stays NOT_CLOSED. XV-B is not opened. H2, I3, and J2 stay unresolved. No compilation is asserted. The source has not been compiled. No machine-checked proof is claimed. Numerical execution is not asserted. Independent execution is not asserted.

Open as its own pageWe complete the fixed-width scalar-only response sector of X-B-ST on the supported host already prescribed by X-A-ST. The new constructions are a second-vertex map and an iterated first-vertex map on specified off-shell linear insertions. Both are defined directly by a finite formal test-level Møller expansion, without a time-ordered product hierarchy. Their smooth compact output tests satisfy retarded support and continuity bounds, and their sum reproduces the inherited second scalar response.
The completed relational field is background invariant through order in the unchanged free scalar algebra on the gauge algebra frozen before the calculation. The proof gives an explicit three-term variation: a compact free-equation term, a dressed coordinate defect, and a dressed switch defect. In particular, it retains the propagation of the first-order edge gap into the second coefficient. A complete pure-gauge two-jet closes the remainder left in X-B-ST, while a massless conformal example checks the iteration and its signs.
These coefficients contain no positive power of in their tests and no Hadamard contraction kernel. This tree-exactness concerns the specified linear rooted prescription, not arbitrary interacting products. The diagonal product boundary of X-B-ST remains unchanged.
The contribution is a supported realization and normalization, sign, and defect audit of Cheung's X-C construction, rather than a priority claim for the underlying quadratic-field method. Its prospective value is an explicit second-order baseline that separates background covariance from singular-product admission and finite readout. A complete destructive-clock instrument encodes supplied evaluations and admits reference-preserving regular transport. It does not acquire a continuum field, evolve the host metric, or establish spacetime emergence.

The first response is recalled as an inherited input, not reconstructed as a new achievement of this file.
Quadratic scalar perturbations admit particularly direct linear-field constructions. Their relation to perturbative agreement has a broader established literature HW,DHP. That context does not supply the particular regulated coordinate prescription or the supported host contract used here. Nor is a general renormalized product family imported from that literature.

Open as its own pageThe Enter distinction used here is operational: destructive readout consumes the measured quantum names and returns a classical record together with the explicitly retained residual. A quantum-return decoder is a different interface EnterI,EnterPhilosophy.
This distinction is applied only after the analytical objects have been defined. It prevents the following identifications:
a finite table of evaluated numbers is not the continuum field;
a complete channel identity is not a field detector or a thermodynamic implementation;
a prescribed dependency schedule does not derive a Lorentzian metric;
finite operations placed on a supplied spacetime do not, merely by that placement, produce spacetime emergence.
I-B supplies the fixed-spacetime interpretation of the finite clock and regular transport pattern IB. The finite channel identities actually used below are proved in this file.

If formal -dependent alternatives are allowed, this statement requires equality of the full normalization series, coefficientwise.
Normalization of the sum alone does not uniquely specify a decomposition into two summands.
Proof. For each output, subtract two candidates with the same individual pairing. Their compact test difference annihilates every spatially compact free solution. Equation (eq:separation) makes its class zero. The argument applies to each -coefficient.
If only the sum is fixed, one may formally add to one candidate and subtract the same class from the other. Individual normalization or the coefficient recursion is needed to exclude such redistribution.

Open as its own pageThe tests , and the completed tests constructed below, contain no and no Hadamard contraction kernel. They have no positive- remainder in the directly defined linear rooted prescription.
Proof. All coefficients in (eq:moller) are compositions of ordinary Green and differential operators on tests. The same is true after substituting the bare test polynomial . This proves the assertion algebraically.
The fixed Wick presentation provides a consistency count, not an alternative construction. A quadratic vertex and one linear insertion have three scalar legs, permitting one rooted cross-contraction and leaving one leg. Two quadratic vertices and a linear insertion have five legs. A connected rooted three-entry graph needs two edges, consumes four legs, and leaves one leg. Since the insertion has only one leg, that graph is a chain ending at the insertion. Three contractions would require six legs and are impossible.
The relevant contraction powers are removed by their first- and second-order response normalizations. A vertex-only vacuum component disconnected from the insertion is not part of the rooted prescription; self-contractions are absent in the fixed Wick presentation FR. The count explains the quantum order of the direct formulas, but does not define any missing singular product.
