The map in eq:coupling need not be affine in $\rho$. Consequently the complete coupled input–output map need not be a quantum channel. The proofs below compare equal accessible inputs step by step. They do not establish general no-signalling or a physical consistency theorem for arbitrary nonlinear backreaction.
